A lil tribute to RAS - PwC

Wong Tai Sin says this is a good year for me :) woot! at least it made me feel less pathetic seeing g-yuk-yun so highly demanded, haha. but...january was a rather complicated n special month for me, but yea...anyway gone case!

O Yes, I had two eventful months - jan & feb 2009. Two amazing months, I would say. I have completed my Internship in PwC and YES! I went to hong kongggggg!!!! (okay…no Daniel Wu….)

Juz like my Taiwan trip after my stpm, I din spend a single penny of my parents’...banggalah saya:) and Aha…..I’ve cleared 2 of my bank accounts! Including my newly applied PwC maybank account. yes im poor all these while n now, im dead broke! Hmm…BUT, it was very worth it…coz this trip was like an adventure…juz like the previous one…budget travelling….we go wherever we want…whatever time we like….we fully utilized the time n money to experience every possible thing. in conclusion, the trip was GRRREAT (though i was always annoyed by sk's anything-nology ><)! bffs, thanks alot for ur companionship. wif our respective talent, role playing (sk as the banker :p) and lastly the spirit of screw-it-play-eat-shop, we managed to pull it bigg! and YES, this is definitely a valuable n memorable trip!

My two months internship was an awesome one. Firstly, Thank you very very muchie to Laura who told me that PwC is definitely better than EY and made me rejected EY’s internship offer :P

Awesome people and awesome place.....work....okielah, at least they r not boring figures n accounting stuffs! hehe. so wat do i do? hmm...the department I was in has juz rebranded to Risk Assurance Services (was named SPA-Advisory), there r 3 sublines: Information Assurance, Biz Continuity Management, Technical & Vulnerability Management. By now, u shud have a rough idea on wat do this dept do :p

Thank you so much for the farewell dinner! It was also a farewell for Johan who is alr in bangkok. Ppl, thanks for coming back though u all were still on cny leave :) *huggies*

I miss them so SO much ler…because of them, I had the most meaningful sem break ever…..i never imagined that I would have such a nice n memorable internship…in an accounting firm! Oh my goshhh…I better start praying that I'll be lucky enuff to meet awesome colleagues like them in my next internship!

I saw this one or two weeks ago on my way home. they actually sticked a different colour of 9 on it. freaking cheap government....but im sure ppl have paid alot for this kinda high quality work.

Last nite, i went to Astro together wif my colleague for a kononnye very popular malay show, Raja Lawak season 3 to do some auditing work. the show was....okay....but not as funny as it sounds :P
Yes, u see the word 'nite'.....YES u r rite, i worked until midnite last nite...quite relaxing thou. hehe.
n FYI, the auditing work we do is not accounts auditing....hmm...wat do we call that?erm...IT auditing perhaps?

Astro is located at technology park msia, bukit jalil. it was my 1st time there. great experience, i would say...coz i never been to any tv station in msia n never get to c ppl running a live show.

Im in the office now. my manager assigned tasks for me, but i ignore it coz i realize i have something much more important to do rite now.

this Biatch...i knew him at the nite b4 he was supposed to go back brunei. i still remember fishie,me, another gal n him chatted until very late that nite at adp g floor. i went to the library in the next morning to do my damn mcb assignment. Suddenly somebody gave me a BIG pat on my back! it was him again, wearing the same shirt n smiling like a biatch (this guy who only got to know me last nite gave me a big pat ==' wei!). i was shocked n he told me that the stupid taxi driver ffk-ed him n he missed his flight. poor thing. but on the same day if im not mistaken, i missed my bus back to ipoh in the evening...ishhhhh....

as a reward of missing his flight, he treated me dinner....which i dunno y. biatch, maybe u've forgotten all these, but they r still clear in my mind.

today i only did some checking on IPs, total them up n check for duplication. that's all.
well...it's juz not rite doin nothing in the office.

2nd Day of my InternshippPppPp

Today is my 2nd day in PwC, an accounting firm which i initially refused to enter.

Yesterday was a longggg orientation. There were ice breaking session, presentations, coffee breaks, briefings, blah blah blahhh....n they made me zzzZ...
haha i pity those who r in spa assurance n audit...gosh 3 days of orientation in imperial hotel!
We were then each distributed a laptop...n it has became my burden=( coz i needa bring it to everywhereee...work, lrt, dinner if i eat out....sigh i dun understand y cant we juz keep it in the office =(

This morning me n the other 2 interns reported to the 14th floor at 8.30am, but the sec, Ms Vasuki was not there yet. So we picked the best feng shui place to settle down n set up our laptops while waiting for her:P

Who knows....

I was sticked to that chair till......lunch time. ooh damn.
I was not assigned any task..n the only thing i could do is ONLINE. By understanding that knowledge is *ahem ahem* the food for our soul, I decided to ...read news rather than facebooking (1st day must ban yeh abit=P)! so i ended up reading all the news in malaysiakini and the star online :P crazyyy ler me. My manager kept telling me...u can chill 1st, i'll give u a list of work after lunch k, relax 1st...haha. n i was like, Okie...alrite...OKIee...alriteee...no problem...

During lunch time, the whole bunch of us (almost everyone in the department) actually went for lunch together, which was out of my expectation. cool huh. we were told that most of the time the consultants will be out at the clients' place to work, n usually there will be only a few of them staying in the office. After lunch, we went back to the office n had a 50th birthday celebration for the big boss's sec, Ms Lilian. They told us that it was juz the start for the season celebration!
*erm hopefully*

After munching the oh-damn-nice white chocolate bday cake (ngeks=P), we had a briefing on the job scope n other stuff. my manager n other consultants said, 'PLEASE feel free to leave at 5.30pm. BUT we'll welcome u if u wanna stay n help us' *evil smile.....hahahaa..so yay...definitely no OT unless we wanna stay. like today, they shoo-ed us back at 5.30pm..haha, they said we r suppose to have fun and enjoy our work. *dun stress dun stress dun stress*

after the boss left to the client's place, the russian consultant wif super goodlooking features, Alex started to draw comic on the glass n it's called, 'The Birth & Death of a Legend'. wat da heck??!!! nobody gets the story, but he promised me that he'll tell me the story after he plot it nicely. he was so serious bout it..hahahahah...damn funny la him. n n n he also wrote a bday poem for Ms Lilian. awww...this ang moh damn cute la.

Well Im currently assigned to assist him in the BAT project n later the Mas project. will be goin to KLIA soon i guess?

Argh..but i really dunno wat to expect in these 2 months time. I hope that the wonderful atmosphere will be remained during my whole internship period. hehe. The people there have really made a difference to the work place, it actually motivates me to go to work. They r so cool...n hey, we'll be having a department dinner + movie outing at the Gardens this friday nite....woot! it's time to bond, ppl =P
but but...i still dunno the way to d car park near sentral. dumb me =X

p/s : though now i like the ppl over there, but i cant guarantee i'll still like them tml! hehe...u know...路遥知马力，日久见人心...=P
